Weekend Report: BetMakers-LVDC acquisition, Kambi partners with Ontario Lottery

BetMakers, Kambi and CopyBet all feature in the Weekend Report.
BetMakers LVDC

Welcome to the Weekend Report, where iGB looks at the news you may have missed across the last few days. This week, BetMakers completes LVDC purchase, Kambi takes control of Ontario Lottery sports betting and Copybet reveals horse racing sponsorship push.

BetMakers completes LVDC acquisition

BetMakers Technology Group has finalised its acquisition of gambling solutions supplier Las Vegas Dissemination Company (LVDC).

Terms have not been disclosed for the deal, which was announced in December. At that time, BetMakers said it expected LVDC to generate approximately $4.5 million in revenue in the first year post-acquisition.

Founded in 1988, LVDC has been serving the Nevada gaming ecosystem for almost 40 years. It services sportsbooks, racebooks, bars, taverns and online wagering platforms with race information, OTB processing and common-pool wagering.

BetMakers said the purchase would grant it direct access to major US casino and sportsbook operators.

Yaspa supports new AI Research Hub

Also in Las Vegas, Yaspa has become a founding member of the newly launched AI Research Hub (AiR Hub) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas International Gaming Institute.

Yaspa is a fintech that specialises in payments and identity solutions. It joins Aristocrat, Evoke, Playtech and the Responsible Online Gaming Association in supporting the new initiative.

The AiR Hub will focus on advancing the industry’s understanding of the impacts, risks and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence.

“Joining AiR Hub as a founding member reflects Yaspa’s commitment to leveraging the synergy between AI and open banking data to drive a more sustainable gambling ecosystem,” said Max Collinge of Yaspa.

B90 set to surpass revenue expectations

B90 Holdings, the company behind the Bet90, Oddsen.nu and Tippen4you brands, said it expects to surpass revenue expectations for the 2025 financial year.

In a trading update, B90 said that higher-than-forecast revenue will reflect a “strong” campaign performance. EBITDA is also set to be in line with initial expectations.

B90 operates as a performance-driven digital marketing group within the iGaming sector. It draws revenue from its affiliate and marketing services across online casino and sports betting.

“We will continue to scale our core pay-per-click and owned-media operations, while increasing automation across the business to drive growth without incremental cost inflation,” said Ronny Breivik, executive chairman of B90. “We will invest selectively in marketing where returns are demonstrable and cash generative, deepen and strengthen our partner network and remain highly disciplined in our approach to cash management and operational execution.”

Kambi takes over Ontario Lottery sports betting

Kambi Group has formally assumed contractual responsibilities for sports betting in partnership with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

Completion follows last year’s announcement that Kambi had been selected by FDJ Gaming Solutions France to take over FDJ’s role as OLG’s long-term sports betting partner.

OLG went live with its new, Kambi-powered sportsbook on 27 January. This covers sports betting across both digital and retail channels.

“We value our partnership with OLG,” Kambi CEO Werner Becher said. “We look forward to leveraging our proven technology to help them drive sustainable growth and provide a safe and entertaining betting product for their customers in Ontario.”

CopyBet reveals record horse racing sponsorship

CopyBet has announced details of its largest-ever series of horse racing sponsorships.

CopyBet will support meetings across five racecourses before the end of March. This covers seven race meetings and 41 races at Carlisle, Exeter, Haydock, Huntingdon and Kempton.

The sponsorship begins with Monday’s CopyBet Afternoon Jump Racing at Kempton Park. Copybet’s series will conclude at Huntingdon on 11 March.

“We’re proud to be reinforcing our commitment to British racing with our biggest-ever series of sponsorships,” CopyBet UK Managing Director Mark Smith, said. “With the everchanging industry landscape, we recognise the importance of supporting a sport that means so much to fans, communities and the wider industry.”
